Inspiration: Horror of the Zombies (aka The Ghost Galleon)
Here is one of the inspirations for The Lich Templars of Ossorio, my death knights for the Encounter Critical game. It's Horror of the Zombies (aka Ghost Galleon),the third Blind Dead film by the legendary Spanish director Amando de Ossorio. This is great verson of this movie. Take an hour and a half, and check it out.

Happy Birthday Robert E. Howard!
Happy Birthday to Robert E. Howard, the father of Conan, Kull and Solomon Kane, amongst other creations!
You can read many of his pulp stories online on the Wikisource Page for Robert E. Howard. But try to pick up a collection of his work in hard copy format. Good pulp like this is worth the effort.

Free QAGS First Edition PDFs at hexgames.com
The fine folks at Hex Games have uploaded PDF copies of the 1st Edition of the Quick Ass Gaming System (QAGS for Short) rules and supplements in their download section. This is the edition I first encountered QAGS in, and it is a good introduction to the system.
Their new stuff is good too...

Happy New Year 2011 With Shock Festival!
Just a Happy New Years and a hi to everyone checking out the blog. Back at work today and did some partying on December 31. Right now I'm watching the greatest collection of B-movie trailers (almost 7 hours!) ever by Stephen Romano: SHOCK FESTIVAL!
I'll review the Shock Festival experience later.
Hope you all have a good year!
